about me

I am a wife, mother of three, child of God, and my mother's daughter.

After graduating from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, I worked in retail and marketing for years. When my first child was born, I started a regional monthly publication that catered to families. Later, I sold the magazine and thus began my freelance writing and editing career. Since then I’ve written for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and area magazines, amassing 800+ articles to my publishing credits. A quick click on the tabs here will allow you to view samples of my work. Currently I work in marketing and communications for a girls' school in Chattanooga, Tennessee

I also write women’s fiction, covering themes including sisterly competition and family struggles, with a special fondness for romantic comedy. Having lived in the Midwest, Los Angeles, Alabama, Texas, and Tennessee, I’ve absorbed the many nuances of American culture and people, weaving unique characters and settings into my stories. I attend writing conferences and workshops whenever possible. I’m currently writing my third book-length manuscript—a title yet to come!

On the side, I bake, cook, sew, craft, read, and occasionally clean something.
